Amalie refinery in northwestern Pennsylvania
My friends and I recently took a visit to the Amalie refinery in northwestern Pennsylvania. Most of the refinery has been abandoned since June 19, 1970 when a fire took the lives of 5 people and injured 15 while destroying a good portion of the refinery itself. In this e-mail I have included some of the pictures of the fire as well as the pictures from our visit.
